How Gamyata EvaluatesAccessibility
Gamyata combines rule-based analysis, browser automation, automated accessibility-tree checks, and AI review to surface accessibility issues quickly. This page explains what the score covers and where its limits are.
Four Evaluation Layers
Static Analysis
Automated rule checking against WCAG 2.2 success criteria.
Interactive Testing
Automated keyboard navigation, focus management, and context change testing via headless browser.
Automated Accessibility-Tree Checks
Automated inspection of the browser accessibility tree, ARIA pattern checks, and simulated screen reader traversal. These are automated checks, not testing by a person with a screen reader.
AI Disability Perspective
Specialized AI agents evaluating from blind, deaf, color blind, motor disability, and cognitive disability perspectives.
What We Test
- All 86 WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria
- Keyboard operability across all interactive elements
- Screen reader compatibility via computed accessibility tree
- Color contrast beyond simple ratio checks
- Reading order and content structure
Scoring
Score is 0-100, where 100 means no issues detected.
Issues are weighted by severity: Critical, Major, Minor, and Advisory.
Grade scale: A (90+), B (75-89), C (60-74), D (40-59), F (below 40).
Limitations
- Gamyata's four-layer approach (static scanning, interactive testing, accessibility-tree checks, and AI analysis) covers criteria that traditional scanners miss, approaching certified-auditor-level coverage.
- AI analysis provides disability-perspective insights informed by real usage patterns, not definitive legal verdicts.
- Results are point-in-time. Accessibility can change with any code deployment. Continuous monitoring helps catch regressions.
- For organizations requiring formal certification, our reports provide the foundation for third-party validation.
